Description
Overview
A Windows System Administrator is needed to support the management and maintenance of IT infrastructure. This role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues, ensuring optimal performance and security, and executing scheduled maintenance and upgrade activities. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders, leadership, and engineering teams to design, maintain, and optimize server environments in alignment with customer requirements. Core working hours are 8:00AM to 4:00PM CST.
Responsibilities
Proactively monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and implement solutions to enhance reliability and security.
Ensure strict security compliance by overseeing access controls, backups, and firewall management.
Lead administration of network servers and technology tools, driving scalability and continuous improvement.
Establish and configure user accounts and workstations to support productivity.
Execute system upgrades, including deployment of new releases and tools.
Maintain detailed internal documentation of system configurations and policies.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience (or commensurate experience).
Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of consolidating national clinical and administrative datasets.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
Experience evaluating and resubmitting controls for Authority to Operate validation.
Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewall configurations.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Clearance Requirement
Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
